Star Trek: Discovery - Season 2
Star Trek is perhaps one of the most influential series ever made. There are a lot of series about the Star Trek universe and the influence still doesn't stop. Perhaps that is why it was very logical that a new series was made. The first season of Star Trek Discovery was released on Netflix in 2018. As a big Star Trek fan, I had to watch this series, of course. I loved season 1. So I couldn't wait for the second season.
In the first season, we are introduced to Michael Burnham, the First Officer. She is flying on the Starfleet ship Shenzhou when they accidentally discover a strange spacecraft. Michael goes to investigate and it turns out to be a very old Klingon ship. The Klingons have not been heard from for a long time, until now. War soon ensues between the crew and the Klingons. Michael faces life imprisonment until she is taken in by the USS Discovery and placed under the command of Captain Lorca. There she meets a new crew and together with them she explores the universe.

In season two we still follow the same crew and their new events. This season revolves around the search for a crew member who knows Michael very well and the mysterious Red Angel. Of course, the crew has to take new enemies into account. Star Trek Discovery Season 1 was a real treat for Star Trek fans. This series is exactly in line with the other derivative series. Of course, not everything stayed the same. Like the Klingons who looked different again in season 2. I really only found all those changes positive. The character development was good and so was the relationship between the characters.
I thought the story of season 2 was more coherent than season 1. The first few episodes of the new season had a completely different atmosphere than the rest. It only got more exciting. Star Trek Discovery season 2 was exactly what I expected it to be: a great season. After the last episode of this season, I'm very curious what will happen to the crew next. So I can't wait for the third season. Do you enjoy Star Trek as much as I do? Give this series a chance, it won't disappoint.
