The new season also includes the previously announced special crossover episode featuring both live-action and animation, and Star Trek: Lower Decks Tawny Newsome as Ensign Beckett Mariner and Jack Quaid as Ensign Brad Boimler joining the U.S.S. Enterprise. The episode was directed by Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard actor and director Jonathan Frakes.

The trailer features voiceovers from Anson Mount (Capt. Christopher Pike), Paul Wesley (James T. Kirk), Christina Chong (La'an Noonien Singh), Babs Olusanmokun (Dr. M'Benga), and Celia Rose Gooding (Cadet Nyota Uhura).
In season two of Strange New Worlds, the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, led by Captain Christopher Pike, faces increasingly perilous challenges as she explores uncharted territories and encounters new life and new civilizations. The crew also embark on personal journeys that continue to test their resolve and redefine their destinies.
Anson Mount stars as Christopher Pike, along with Rebecca Romijn as Una Chin-Riley, Ethan Peck as Spock, Jess Bush as Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La'An Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Erica Ortegas and Babs Olusanmokun as Joseph M'Benga. Carol Kane also joins season two in a recurring role as Pelia.
The second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds kicks off Thursday, June 15 on Paramount+.
Season two is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serve as co-showrunners. Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Jenny Lumet, Henry Alonso Myers, Aaron Baiers, Heather Kadin, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers.
In addition to the trailer, Paramount also dropped a new poster for the series' second season.
