©The Hollywood Reporter - Ludovic Robert/Prime VideoThe intruders force Zara and Luke to follow their orders, involving them in a massive crime: stealing billions of pounds in pension money from ordinary people. The central question of the series is who is behind this theft and what motive someone would have to commit such an enormous and morally reprehensible act.
Parallel to the hostage situation, the story follows DCI Rhys (played by Jacob Fortune-Lloyd), a detective determined to uncover the truth behind the heist. However, his task is complicated by personal issues: he is a recently relapsed gambling addict who must keep his own financial problems hidden while trying to navigate a case full of hidden agendas, power struggles, and conflicting interests.
The series combines a gripping heist setup with psychological drama and moral dilemmas, putting not only the criminals but also the victims and investigators under immense pressure. Steal consists of six episodes, all of which will be made available simultaneously on Prime Video.
In addition to Turner, known for Game of Thrones and recent work in Trust (2018) and Joan, Archie Madekwe (See) and Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (Bodies (2023)) also play significant roles. The series promises to be an intense thriller where an ordinary workday culminates in what is described as "the heist of the century."
