Apple TV+ renews comedy series Stick for a second season

The feel-good sports comedy series Stick, starring Owen Wilson, is officially getting a second season on Apple TV+.
The second season of Stick will once again revolve around Wilson's character Pryce Cahill, nicknamed "Stick," a former golf sensation whose career went up in smoke twenty years ago.

The entire main cast returns, including Peter Dager as the young golf sensation Santi, Marc Maron as Pryce’s boyfriend Mitts, Mariana Treviño as Santi’s mother Elena, and Lilli Kay as Zero, the barmaid-turned-caddie.

Stick

Created by Jason Keller, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer, Stick is a heartwarming comedy series about second chances, unexpected friendships, and the magic of golf—in the spirit of Apple TV+'s other hit series, Ted Lasso.

Since its premiere on June 4th, Stick has consistently ranked in Apple TV+'s daily Top 10. According to Matt Cherniss, head of programming at Apple TV+, the series was an instant hit: "With the first season of Stick, viewers instantly fell in love with the charming, funny, and touching world that Jason, Owen, and the entire team created."

The first season's finale hinted at new challenges for Pryce and Santi. In an interview with Deadline, Keller confirmed that the final scene of the finale intentionally leaves room for a fresh dynamic between the main characters in season two.
