Suddenly he was there, just out of nowhere. Submission. No commercials on TV, no cluttered bus shelters and no noise on the series forums. Nothing. After seeing the first episodes I understand why. This is not one to be incredibly proud of as a transmitter. Far from. It's sort of 50 Shades Of Gray, only instead of fifty kinds of gray, it's fifty kinds of awful. I seriously have no idea what this is supposed to represent. Is it Showtime's middle finger to Puritan America or some seriously intended spicy straw for dozing-off Texan housemoms with Crocks and asymmetrical bangs? Whatever it may be, it failed. It is a succession of bouquet series fantasies, which you see at the cash desk of the Albert Heijn between the Twixen and calling cards. An innocent girl who, after breaking up with a self-satisfied alpha man, goes in search of her sexuality and in no time hangs upside down from a ceiling with all kinds of pegs on her tit. Whatever. Nobody is going to be happy about this. No one. If you are looking for heat, all that endless bullshit between the carnal desires does not make you good and you are more part of the story, then it will certainly irritate that every ten minutes someone gets the thumb of a complete stranger in her. ass gets stifled. I am pretty pissed off for a good tit every now and then, but in 25 minutes of Submission you will be hit with more breasts than six seasons of Game Of Thrones added together. Tony's Chocolonely is perhaps the best invention ever after the internet, but if you bark the whole bar in one go, you will be left nauseated on the couch. That, say. And we haven't even talked about the acting yet. Claire Underwood, Meredith Gray and Sookie Stackhouse, of course, you never get to the point of having a very well-oiled basketball team take their breath away with a red ball in their mouths, in front of all of America. People who get excited about that have generally left theater school for what it was, so what you get are 'serious' acting porn actresses. Can you picture it already? You don't have to be Paul Verhoeven to know that you don't have to expect much from that. Nobody points the wall in the living room to two house painters and thinks they will find an exact copy of The Night Watch there at the end of the afternoon. Shoemaker. Is reading. After The Girlfriend Experience, this is already the second erotic tinted series in a short time, but I really wonder who is waiting for this. Guys who are also lugging around on the bikini section of the new Neckerman catalog, probably. Or women who secretly take the pressure off the kettle with a mini tarzan during the interval of De Toppers, because Jeroen van de Boom's eyebrows look so sultry at them all the time. If you do not fall into one of these two categories, then just leave it for what it is. Watch a decent dirty butts movie or turn to Masters Of Sex if you really want to see something good. Or climb on your friend, because nothing can match the real thing. If it is good.

What I have read is that the maker of this series was disappointed with the film of 50 shades of gray (and who is not). Many people have read the books. So do I. I thought the film of 50 shades was worthless. Submission is then a better 50 shades. In my opinion it is. The sm is like in the books and of course the book about which the reader fantasizes should not be missing. The sex scenes are okay, but the acting (outside of those sex scenes) is really worthless. The "but neighbor what are you doing now" content is present. Is there a story in it? Girl has boyfriend but she is not satisfied, she leaves him, reads a book with a friend and then falls head over heels for the employee was the local coffee corner and experiences the adventures from the book with him ... make it. Give me Banshee or Game of Thrones, those scenes still have some use in that :)

Bouquet series for advanced users? Not really, because then there would be more of a story in it. But storytelling isn't really what this series is all about. Although the pilot does not really work as far as I am concerned, it is more about exciting and seducing the viewers (m / f). Before that, just as has been done for the most daring scenes in Game of Thrones, there was extensive casting in the porn industry. So don't expect an acting performance that will bring tears to your eyes with joy while you hope that the members who decide who gets a Grammy award next time have secretly watched. Which does not alter the fact that the ladies and gentlemen are not entirely without merit, but real acting is something else. It is of course also possible that the not really clever dialogues probably also get in the way of great acting performances. ;-) Ultimately, this is a wafer-thin story / script in which acting was not really at the top of the list of priorities, because that's how it should be in this genre. Looking decent and charming was in that respect a little higher on the rankings, which if I have to judge the ladies, it worked out quite well. For everything else there are special effects (which are not included) :-) Porn is by no means, it is rather suggestive on the regular, and mainly feminine, bare chest, buttock or butt. For ladies who also expect a male member in front of the camera, if the pilot is the standard for this series, I would rather recommend a re-run of Spartacus. I would recommend Spartacus for men anyway :-)
