good series hope they keep it up. when arrow started it was also very high on my list but this also applies to the flash. supergirl still looks good. now these 3 of The CW saga are still the best to watch. but the quality of dc legends, batwoman and blacklightning plummets so much that i'm only watching this because there might be another crossover. now superman&lois is just something new that falls really well, and a series that i don't watch just for the crossover but because i like to watch it and sit in front of it. so yes what the writers fail to do with those 3 above, they score high with superman and lois. and don't forget stargirl. this series also scores highly recommended in case you missed it.
When I started watching Superman & Lois, I was immediately captivated. It's not just a superhero series full of action and spectacle, but also a story about a family trying to stay normal while Superman saves the world. The fact that Clark and Lois are also parents, while their children, Jonathan and Jordan, are struggling with their own issues, gave the series something special.
I found the first two seasons the strongest. Season 1 felt fresh, exciting, and surprisingly human. Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch brought Clark and Lois convincingly to life, and the balance between family drama and superhero action was perfect. Season 2 built on this with larger stories and new threats. At times, it became a bit melodramatic, but for me, it remained captivating because the family always remained the center.
After that, the series lost some of its momentum for me. In season 3, the pacing slowed down, and not all characters received equal attention. Jordan increasingly took the spotlight, while Jonathan often faded into the background. This disrupted the dynamic that was so strong in the beginning. Season 4 still offered a few good moments, especially the confrontations with Lex Luthor, but the shorter season felt rushed and lacked the careful buildup of the first few years.
Looking back, I have mixed feelings. The first two seasons really captivated me with their fresh energy and emotional power. The last two were certainly not bad, but less compelling for me. What I do continue to appreciate is that the series consistently emphasized the human aspect; even a superhero has to deal with the challenges of everyday life.
