James Gunn has two Superman spin-off television series in mind

After the success of his superhero film Superman for Warner Bros., James Gunn is already considering two possible television spin-offs.
While James Gunn's Superman has already grossed over $22 million in its initial previews and boasts an impressive 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the director is already looking ahead to potential television spinoffs. He reportedly has plans for series featuring characters like Mister Terrific, played by Edi Gathegi, and Jimmy Olsen, played by Skyler Gisondo.

Gunn already has several projects underway, including the second season of Peacemaker (2022), which will be released on August 21st, and the series Lanterns starring Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre, scheduled to premiere in 2026.

He is also working on Paradise Lost, which he says is progressing "slowly but surely," and he recently hinted at a yet-unknown television series that he calls his favorite project and hopes will be made soon.

Gunn and his co-chairman at DC, Peter Safran, have previously announced their ambitious plans for the revamped DC universe: they plan to release two live-action films, one animated film, two live-action series, and two animated series each year.

The new Superman film, written and directed by Gunn himself, stars David Corenswet as Kal-El, also known as Clark Kent, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.

Also starring Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, and Wendell Pierce as Perry White, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet.
