The story follows an elite team of specialists at The Roman Agency who handle cases no one else can - haunted and possessed homes that literally scare off potential buyers. Investigating, studying and "fixing" the things that haunt the night, the team works to shut (and close) cases, even as they grapple with their own demons.

Nick Roman (Rozon) is the owner and has built up a whispered reputation as someone who can sell the haunted houses that no one else can sell. Susan Ireland (Levy) is a hugely successful real estate agent who doesn't believe in ghosts or hauntings. Father Phil Orley (Korson) is the agency's investigative specialist while August Ripley (Wint) specializes in technology and Zooey L'Enfant (Basley) serves as the agency's office manager. Megan Donovan (Read) is a medical student who has just inherited a house from her grandfather.
SurrealEstate's first season averaged 0.06 in the 18-49 demographic and 315,000 viewers in the live+same day ratings (including DVR playback until 3:00 AM).
The last new episode of SurrealEstate aired in September 2021.
The series is being produced for Canada's CTV Sci-Fi Channel and probably won't cost Syfy much to air. However, in November 2021, it was announced that Syfy had dropped the series. The US cable channel then reversed this in May 2022. The second season was expected to start this summer, but the start was delayed.
Season two of SurrealEstate now kicks off Wednesday, October 4 at 10 p.m., following the start of Chucky's third season. SurrealEstate's first season is currently streaming on Hulu, so new episodes are expected to be available there on Thursday mornings.
