The Hughes Wildfire, which broke out around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning near Castaic Lake, is near Santa Clarita, where S.W.A.T. (2017) is filming. By 5 p.m., the fire had burned 24,000 acres, forcing 31,000 people to evacuate and closing a section of Interstate 5 for several hours.
This update comes amid a significant change in CBS’ Friday night schedule. Before the holiday season hiatus, the schedule consisted of S.W.A.T. (2017), Fire Country and Blue Bloods. However, the Tom Selleck-led series ended in December. Now, the evening will run in this order: NCIS: Sydney, Fire Country and S.W.A.T. (2017).
However, the fires and other events have caused this lineup to undergo some changes here and there. In the first week of January, a rerun of the firefighting drama Fire Country starring Max Thieriot was postponed and instead aired an extra episode of NCIS: Sydney. Then it was NCIS: Sydney that postponed the first premiere episode of its midseason in favor of a "soon to be announced special".
However, all three series are scheduled to air new episodes weekly in February, according to CBS's 2025 television schedule. We do not know if S.W.A.T. (2017) has resumed filming in the meantime.
The cast of the police series includes Shemar Moore as Sergeant II Daniel 'Hondo' Harrelson, Jr., Jay Harrington as Sergeant II David 'Deacon' Kay, David Lim as Officer III Victor Tan, Patrick St. Esprit as Commander Robert Hicks, Anna Enger Ritch as Officer III Zoe Powell, Niko Pepaj as Officer III Miguel 'Miko' Alfaro and Annie Ilonzeh as Officer III Devin Gamble.
S.W.A.T. (2017) is produced by Sony Pictures Television and CBS Studios.
