HBO Reveals Premiere Window and Teaser for New Series Task

We get a look at some of the first images from Task, the upcoming drama series from Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby.Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey star in the seven-episode series, which premieres in September on HBO and will stream on HBO Max. Episodes will be released weekly.

“There’s been a wave of home invasions,” the trailer begins. “At least nine homes have been hit.”

Set in the working-class neighborhoods of Philadelphia, Task finds an FBI agent (Ruffalo) leading a task force to put an end to a series of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man (Pelphrey).

The cast also includes Emilia Jones, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Alduso Mbedu, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Raúl Castillo, Silvia Dionicio, Phoebe Fox, and Martha Plimpton.
