Trailer for Territory released

Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the big-budget Australian drama Territory, premiering on October 24.
The story revolves around the “largest cattle station in the world”, called Marianne Station, which has no clear successor. Generational conflict threatens to tear the Lawson family apart. Sensing this once-great dynasty in decline, the outback's most powerful factions – rival cattle barons, desert gangsters, indigenous elders and billionaire miners – come on the prowl, with billions of dollars at stake.

The trailer opens with vast landscapes of mountain ranges and rivers, before showing footage of family members and locals hearing the news of the death of cattle baron Daniel Lawson. 'People say everything here is trying to kill you: the climate, the land. You learn to live with it, it makes us who we are,” says a voice-over in the trailer.

Territory, originally filmed under the working title Desert King, starring Anna Torv (The Last of Us), Michael Dorman (For All Mankind) and Sam Corlett (Vikings: Valhalla).

Territory, an Easy Tiger and Ronde production for Netflix, was filmed in the so-called 'Northern Territory' and South Australia with support from Screen Territory and South Australian Film Corporation. Filming locations include Tipperary Station and Kakadu National Park, filmed with permission of the location's traditional owners.

Ben Davies, who co-created the 18-season global breakout show Bondi Rescue, is one of Territory's co-creators and executive producers.

Timothy Lee (Mystery Road) is the other co-creator and co-writer of Territory, with Greg McLean (Wolf Creek) on board as director. Watch the new trailer for the series below:
