SyFy renews sci-fi series The Ark for a third season

The Ark keeps flying. The sci-fi adventure series has been renewed for season three.
The Ark, created by Dean Devlin, is set 100 years in the future, when colonization missions have begun on planets to ensure the survival of the human race.

The Ark

In season two of the series, which aired its finale in October, the brave crew of Ark One, after reaching their destination and finding it uninhabitable, struggled to survive long enough to find a new home for themselves and all the ships that would follow.

The series stars Christie Burke as Lt. Sharon Garnet, Richard Fleeshman as Lt. James Brice, Reece Ritchie as Lt. Spencer Lane (and his clone Ian), Stacey Read as life support chief Alicia Nevins, and Ryan Adams as horticultural expert Angus Medford.

“We’re thrilled to launch another season of The Ark!” says series creator, co-showrunner and executive producer Dean Devlin. “Back in space again, and the best is yet to come!”

The prolific Devlin, whose many credits as an executive producer include the Leverage and The Librarians (2014) franchises, is co-showrunner on The Ark with Jonathan Glassner (Stargate SG-1).

The new series is set to debut in 2026.
