AMC releases trailer for Silicon Valley series The Audacity

AMC has released a trailer for the comedy-drama series The Audacity, starring Billy Magnussen.
Billy Magnussen portrays Duncan in The Audacity, an ambitious and controversial CEO in Silicon Valley. In the story, he heads a data mining company and attempts to convert insights, influence, and technology into power and profit. His vision of innovation is extreme and provocative: he believes that fear hinders progress, and that radical, unrestrained ideas lead to real breakthroughs.

The series is set within the often closed and extravagant world of Silicon Valley, examining the dreams and ambitions of Tech entrepreneurs, billionaires, and futuristic thinkers.

The story features an environment full of eccentric figures, such as Tech billionaires who make their own rules, psychiatrist-gurus who influence entrepreneurs, bio-optimized Tech fanatics, advanced AI laboratories, and young people being groomed at elite private schools for a hyper-competitive future. Against this backdrop, Duncan tries to propel his company and ideas to the top, as moral boundaries increasingly blur.

In addition to Magnussen, the cast includes Sarah Goldberg, Zach Galifianakis, Lucy Punch, and Simon Helberg. The series is created by Jonathan Glatzer.

The Audacity combines drama with dark humor and explores themes such as technological power, privacy, and the illusions behind the promises of the modern Tech world. The series raises critical questions about how far people are willing to go in their quest for innovation, influence, and success.

The drama series The Audacity premieres on Sunday, April 12, on AMC and the streaming service AMC+. The series consists of eight episodes and will be broadcast every Sunday, with the first episode airing at 9:00 PM.
