Prime Video unveils trailer and first-look photos for new family drama series The Baxters

The Baxters arrives on Prime Video later this month and the streaming service has now released a trailer, poster and first-look photos.
The series stars Roma Downey, Ted McGinley, Ali Cobrin, Masey McLain, Josh Plasse, Cassidy Gifford, Reilly Anspaugh, Emily Peterson and Brandon Hirsch.

The series follows Elizabeth (Downey) and John Baxter (McGinley) and their five adult children. The story is based on a series of novels by Karen Kingsbury.

Ten episodes have been produced for the drama, which guest stars Kathie Lee Gifford, Jake Allyn, Damien Leake and Orel De La Mota.

Prime Video revealed more about the series in the press release below:

"Based on the literary series Redemption from #1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury, The Baxters is a compelling family drama that follows Elizabeth and John Baxter and their five adult children.

The first season of The Baxters centers on Elizabeth and John's daughter, Kari, who discovers the shocking truth that her husband, Professor Tim, is secretly having an affair with one of his students. As her relationship is tested, Kari must seek solace in her faith and family to discover if love is truly a choice and if her marriage can be restored. In this deeply moving, faith-based journey, the Baxters must come together as a family to face life's challenges.”

The series will be released on Thursday, March 28.
