The Bear returns for a second season in June

FX's The Bear returns to Hulu in June. The launch month was revealed in a teaser for season two at the 95th Annual Academy Awards.

The teaser hints at a rebirth of The Original Beef of Chicagoland, the iconic family restaurant at the center of the story. At the end of the first season, Jeremy Allen closed White's Carmy The Beef to open a new restaurant.

"It's not a reopening, it's a rebirth," reads FX's caption accompanying the short trailer.

The Bear follows Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto (White), a young fine dining chef, who comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop, The Original Beef of Chicagoland, after a heartbreaking death in his family. A world away from what he's used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing reality of a small business, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff, and his strained family relationships, all while grappling with the fallout from his brother's suicide.

Although an exact date is being kept secret for now, it has been announced that season two will be expanded from eight to ten episodes.

White stars with Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce and Liza Colón-Zayas.

The series was created by Christopher Storer, who also serves as an executive producer, along with Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai and Nate Matteson of Super Frog and Josh Senior, with Tyson Bidner serving as producer and Matty Matheson as co-producer. The series is produced by FX Productions.

Lead actor White recently earned a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Comedy Series for his portrayal of Carmy.
