Watched first episode and I'm going for more. I have also read the book. Of course, many details are left out, but that's how it goes in film adaptations. An intense history lesson by the way.

Series about an African girl who is captured by slave traders and brought to America. Because of her curiosity and eagerness to learn, she manages to survive in the hard life as a slave. The story is catchy and sometimes passes quickly. What terrible hardships mankind experienced at that time and especially the slaves.
