Three names have joined the cast of the third season of The Boys. Sean Patrick Flanery, Miles Gaston Villanueva and Nick Wechsler will portray various superheroes in the Amazon Prime live-action series.
The lead cast consists of Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligot, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell and Colby Minifie. Last year, the cast was expanded with Jensen Ackles. The Amazon series follows the lives of superheroes who work for a big company and the group trying to take them down.
The following was revealed about the third season of The Boys:
Sean Patrick Flanery (Dexter) will portray a superhero called Gunpowder. Miles Gaston Villanueva (Law & Order: True Crime, photo above) will portray Supersonic. Nick Wechsler (Roswell) will portray Blue Hawk. Laurie Holden (The Walking Dead, photo below) has been given a recurring role as the Crimson Countess. Currently, production is ongoing in Toronto.
The immensely popular superhero series is a big success at Amazon. The third season was announced even before the second season had started its run. Amazon has also already announced a spin-off.
A premiere date for the third season of The Boys will be announced at a later moment.
