The Brothers Sun is described as a dark comedy-drama and family soap opera. It follows a Taipei gangster, Charles Sun (Chien), who has come to terms with his life as a ruthless killer. Co-creator Falchuk was showrunner and produced together with co-creator Wu, director Kevin Tancharoen and Mikkel Bondesen.
Falchuk continues to do business with Netflix through his overall deal with the streamer.
