Based on Victor LaValle's bestseller of the same name, The Changeling is a fairy tale for adults. A horror story, a fable about parenting and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you never knew existed.
Joining Stanfield (Atlanta) are Clark Backo (Designated Survivor), Adina Porter (American Horror Story), Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder (Watchmen (2019)), Jared Abrahamson (Travelers (2016)) and, in a special guest role, Malcolm Barrett (The Boys) in the series.
Apple TV + has chosen Friday, September 8 for the premiere of the new drama series. After the premiere of three episodes, new episodes will be released weekly until October 13.
The Changeling is written and edited by showrunner and executive producer Kelly Marcel. The pilot episode is directed by Melina Matsoukas (Insecure).
The series is produced by Apple Studios and Annapurna. In addition to Stanfield, Marcel and LaValle, executive producers include Megan Ellison, Patrick Chu and Ali Krug on behalf of Annapurna, Matsoukas through her De La Revolución Films, David Knoller and director Jonathan van Tulleken (Reprisal), Sue Naegle and David Wolkis. Khaliah Neal serves as co-executive producer.
