The series recently had its 100th episode.

After six seasons, The Conners, from Tom Werner's Werner Entertainment, remains a strong ratings success. It will now join Abbott Elementary as the second ABC comedy series renewed for next season. Not Dead Yet remains in limbo, the chances of renewal are quite low.
Both executive producer/showrunner Bruce Helford and lead actor Goodman indicated last spring that season six could be The Conners' last, with Helford emphasizing that lead actor/executive producer Gilbert - who was instrumental in getting the show off the ground The Conners after Roseanne's shocking split - had asked for enough lead time for the series to build to a happy conclusion.
"We have a final episode that could be one or the other. We love it," Helford said recently when asked if they had approached the season six finale as a season or series finale amid the uncertainty of the future by The Conners. He called the episode "unexpected" and "emotional".
For the first time in its run, The Conners found itself on the brink of collapse this year. An additional scene was shot there to add to the sixth season finale, should it become a series finale. That will no longer be necessary.
