The Handmaid's Tale already renewed with a fifth season

Even before the fourth season has premiered, Hulu has already renewed the drama science fiction series The Handmaid's Tale with its fifth season. The fourth season of The Handmaid's Tale will premiere at Hulu in 2021. It will have ten episodes. Back in 2017, the series originally premiered and it will not end for some time. Hulu has decided to renew the drama series with its fifth season.




The Handmaid's Tale revolves around life in the republic Gilead, which was previously known as The United States of America. Under the rule of religious fundamentalists, the republic has become obsessed with reproduction. Due to massive environmental pollution, most women have become infertile. Those who are fertile, end up being sex slaves to the rulers. The lead role is portrayed by Elisabeth Moss (Top of the Lake).
