No new plans for The Haunting

According to creator Mike Flanagan, there are no more plans for sequel seasons to the anthology series The Haunting. Over the past two years, two seasons released.

Mike Flanagan (Midnight Mass) created The Haunting and announced via Twitter that there are currently no plans for a sequel season. But the fans of The Haunting shouldn't feel saddened as Flanagan has also said 'Never, say never'. There could very well be another season at some point in the future.

Back in 2018, The Haunting premiered under the name The Haunting of Hill House. Last year, it was revealed that the series would be continued as an anthology series which would be called The Haunting. The second season had an entirely different story but it did feature a couple of the same actors.

The first season is based on the novel by Shirley Jackson that was published in 1959. It revolves around a broken family that is confronted by spooky memories of the old house. The second is based on The Turn of the Screw by Henry James and revolves around a remote mansion that features a governess taking care of two children.
