Set to a haunting rendition of Blondie's hit One Way Or Another, the new look at the drama – which debuts Monday, February 3, with streaming the following day – previews "The Pit," a subterranean panopticon-like hexagonal structure described in a voiceover as a "classified prison that houses the most violent and dangerous criminals the world has ever known."
After a mysterious explosion, Rebecca ('Bex') must track down the prisoners and lead a team to discover the source of the explosion and the reason behind it. The 30-second teaser shows the earth-shattering bombing, chases, fights and even a dead body, as Bex and her team try to get ahead of the crisis.
In addition to Roxburgh’s savvy profiler (Manifest), The Hunting Party stars Nick Wechsler as Oliver Odell, Patrick Sabongui as Ryan Hassani, Josh McKenzie as Shane Florence, and Sara Garcia as Jennifer Morales. Kyra Leroux also joins the series in a recurring role.
Co-showrunners JJ Bailey (creator) and Jake Coburn are writers and executive producers for The Hunting Party. Thor Freudenthal was announced earlier this year as director of the pilot and executive producer.
The Hunting Party premieres Monday, February 3 on NBC, following the season premiere of The Voice (US).
