Alfie Allen, known for his role as Theon Greyjoy in Game of Thrones, has joined the cast of the second season of MGM+'s The Institute. The production of the new season of The Institute, based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King, is currently underway in Halifax. Alfie Allen will play the role of Nolan Reeves, an eccentric European Tech billionaire who is one of the financial pillars of the Institute and has his own ambitious and mysterious agenda.

The second season picks up after the events of the season one finale and follows Luke Ellis, played by Joe Freeman, Tim Jamieson, played by Ben Barnes, and other survivors as they attempt to expose the crimes of the Institute. At the same time, they must constantly remain vigilant, as a group of assassins is on their trail.
Meanwhile, the ruthless and calculating Ms. Sigsby, played by Mary-Louise Parker, continues her quest for revenge and tries to restore her power. During this mission, she uncovers more and more about the hidden and complex workings of the Institute, drastically changing her understanding of the organization.
Alfie Allen joins the existing cast, bringing a new important character into the story. The series is led by Stephen King as executive producer, alongside director and executive producer Jack Bender, who previously worked on series such as Lost and Game of Thrones.
The Institute season two will be released exclusively on MGM+ in various countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia, while Amazon MGM Studios Distribution is responsible for distribution in other international areas.
In addition to his iconic role in Game of Thrones, Alfie Allen has recently worked on the second season of the Netflix science fiction series 3 Body Problem. He has also appeared in television series such as Girl Taken, Atomic, Safe Harbour, and SAS: Rogue Heroes.
