The new trailer outsold previous trailers and teasers for The Last of Us by at least 160%, the company said.

So far, episodes of the first season are averaging about 32 million viewers across platforms in the U.S. That’s about four times the same-day audience of the first season finale, which set a record for same-day viewership with 8.2 million across all platforms. It’s still one of HBO’s biggest shows in recent years, which bodes well for the start of season two next month.
According to the synopsis, Joel and Ellie’s shared past catches up with them in season two, five years after the events of season one, bringing them into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.
Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey return alongside Gabriel Luna as Tommy and Rutina Wesley as Maria. Previously announced new cast members include Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. Catherine O'Hara also guest stars.
