The Lord of the Rings to premiere on Amazon in September 2022

Amazon Prime Video has announced the premiere date of the The Lord of the Rings series. Next to that, an image has been shared as well.

Production on the first season of The Lord of the Rings has been wrapped. However, it isn't known what the series is going to be called. Amazon has announced when it will release. The The Lord of the Rings series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on the 2nd of September in 2022. A new episode will then be released each week.

With the premiere date announcement, the first image of the series was also shared. Production to place in New Zealand, just like the movies. When production began, Amazon decided to renew the series with its second season. It takes place in the Second Age. Between the movies with the same name and this series, there is a 3000-year time difference.
