Trailer available for final season The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

In the fifth season trailer of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is Miriam 'Midge' Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) closer than ever to stardom.
First premiered in 2017, the series is a dramedy that follows a 1950s mother and housewife Maisel, whose life changes dramatically when she discovers she has a knack for stand-up comedy.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has won acclaim for her humor and wit, as well as for her commentary on gender roles and family dynamics in the 1950s. The series will conclude this year with the release of its fifth and final season.

Throughout the series so far, Maisel has worked tirelessly on her controversial comedic career, with many ups and downs. Now, based on the trailer, it looks like all of Maisel's struggles are paying off as there are teases of a "big break" and "luck".

In addition, Maisel is determined to get everything she deserves and is done with going back and forth between success and failure.

The fifth season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will premiere on Amazon Prime on Friday, April 14. This final season will consist of nine episodes, making it one of the longest seasons in the series. Some may wonder why The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is closing after five seasons, and it's worth noting that the series hasn't been canceled. Season five is the last, simply because it has come full circle and the full story has been told. So viewers don't have to worry about season five ending abruptly or unfinished, but can expect a satisfying conclusion to the series.

The fact that this is the last season does mean that it's Maisel's last chance to achieve her long-awaited fame. That's why the trailer shows how close she is to stardom and why there's a new fierceness to her ambition. In addition, the season will likely address two major plot points left unfinished in the fourth season, namely the relationship between Maisel and Lenny (Luke Kirby), the relationship between Joel (Michael Zegen) and Mei (Stephanie Hsu), and Mei's pregnancy.

The majority of the cast of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will return for season five. Returning actors include Brosnahan, Zegen, Hsu, Kirby, Alex Borstein, Tony Shalhoub, Kevin Pollak, Marin Hinkle, Caroline Aaron, Austin Basis and Gideon Glick. The season also added several new faces, including Michael Cyril Creighton (Only Murders in the Building), Eddie Kaye Thomas (Scorpion), Peter Friedman (Succession), Josh Grisetti (The Knights of Prosperity), Chloë Kerwin (Everything's Trash) and Lucas Kavner (Orange Is the New Black) in recurring roles.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will release the first three episodes on Friday, April 14 on Prime, then air an episode every Friday through May 26.
