The Orville - Season 2
Last year I watched the first season of The Orville and enjoyed it immensely and so I couldn't wait for the second season. I was curious to see if the new season would be as good as the first one.

The Orville takes place over three hundred years into the future and follows the adventures of the U.S.S Orville, a not so modern exploratory spaceship. Under the command of Captain Ed Mercer the crew has to perform various missions and will endure many trials and ordeals. Season two continues where season one left off. Again the ship will go on many exploratory missions.
Each episode has its own separate story, with an overarching story line which develops during the season.
The Orville is very similar to Star Trek. Of course, both shows have their own appeal, but both are about exploratory spaceships which enter into their own adventures. That's not an issue, both are wonderful series in their own right and there are plenty of differences between Star Trek and The Orville. But that there are similarities, is a fact.
I have mixed feelings about this season of The Orville. The positives are the characters who remain fun to watch, the stories which remain interesting and have a good flow. It's never boring to watch. But too bad that there was no real character development this season. We don't really get to know the characters any better. One thing missing was one big story line, something that wasn't present in the first season as well. That could have been developed better.
The Orville is still a great series to watch, partly because of the humour. The surprising adventures contribute to the enjoyment as well and I loved it just like season one.
But despite the fact I prefer season one, I can't wait for the third season. Are you a fan of sci-fi series with humour? Then I definitely recommend you to watch this series.
