Second season The Politician will start in the summer

Ryan Murphy has revealed that the second season of The Politician will release next summer. Will there also be a third season? Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story) has revealed that the second season of The Politician (2019) will start on Netflix this summer, as originally planned. Production on this season was finished just before all productions were halted. The second season will have seven episodes. A definitive date has not yet been revealed, although Murphy has indicated in an interview with Collider that somewhere in the middle of June is a possibility.

The Politician (2019) revolves around the wealthy student Payton Hobart (Ben Platt, Will & Grace), who has realized at the age of seven that he wants to become president of the United States. To achieve his goal, he has to outwit his ruthless classmates without destroying his carefully constructed image.

Murphy would like to end the series with a third season. But only after a couple of years, when Ben Platt has become a bit older. Payton, who is portrayed by Platt, will then run for president. “I would like to do, and I think all of us involved in it would probably like to do three seasons total,” Murphy said in the Collider interview. When and if a third season will happen has not yet been confirmed, but there are plans.
