In addition to the new duo, Ross Anderson (The Last Kingdom), Phil McKee (Deadwater Fell) and Johannes Roaldsen Fürst (Knekt) are on board The Rig.
Rochenda Sandall, Owen Teale, Mark Addy, Molly Vevers, Abraham Popoola, Nikhil Parmar and Stuart McQuarrie return for season two. Fortune-Lloyd recently boarded another Prime Video series, Haven, while Krige's previous roles include the same streamer's Carnival Row.
Sources reveal that season two will be set on an Arctic glacier. The series begins with helicopters taking the surviving crew of the Kinloch Bravo to a new secret facility called the Stac, hidden deep within the extraordinary and deadly landscapes of the Arctic Circle. Here, the trapped crew must deal with the emotional and physical fallout from the devastating tsunami that destroyed the Bravo and confront swirling conspiracies, corporate conflicts and new threats from the dark depths of the world's ocean.
In the first season, the cast found themselves on an oil rig off the Scottish coast, which was shrouded in a mysterious fog that cut off all lines of communication. The series is reminiscent of BBC hit Vigil, which started on a submarine before hitting the air in season two.
The Rig is produced by Banijay-backed Sixth Commandment producer Wild Mercury and is a rare example of an Amazon UK drama series making it past its first season.
The series is written by David Macpherson and directed by John Strickland (Line of Duty, Bodyguard) and Alex Holmes (The Letter for the King). The executive producers are Derek Wax, Macpherson and Strickland.
The series producer is Suzanne Reid and the co-producer is Matt Brown.

Anyway, I know I didn't really like the series, but I will watch season 2.
