The series is based on the books of Daniel O'Malley. The science fiction series, which premiered in the United States on June 30, 2019, will not return for a second season at Starz. The first season, with Emma Greenwell and Olivia Munn in the lead, consists of eight episodes. The Rook revolves around Myfanwy Thomas, a young woman who works for a secret service of the British government. Myfanwy wakes up in a park and can't remember who she is or what to do. She is struggling with her supernatural abilities and has to fight to uncover her past and maintain her position within the secret service of Great Britain.
