Casting news for The Sandman

Netflix has expanded the cast of the American fantasy series The Sandman with twelve new actors, which includes Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Infinity Train).

The Sandman is based on a comic series with the same name. It'll become a blend between modern myths and dark fantasy that sees modern fiction, historical drama and legends intertwine. The Sandman comes from Neil Gaiman.

It was already known that Tom Sturridge (Sweetbitter) and Gwendolyn Christie (Game of Thrones) would become part of the fantasy series. Now, Netflix has revealed that the cast will be further expanded with Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Infinity Train), Mason Alexander Park (Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures), Donna Preston (Famalam), Jenna Coleman (The Serpent), Joely Richardson (The Rook), Niamh Walsh (Smother), David Thewlis (Big Mouth), Kyo Ra, Stephen Fry (It's a Sin), Razane Jammal (Paranormal), Sandra James Young (His Dark Materials) and Patton Oswalt (American Dad!). In the Tweet that was shared by Netflix, it has been revealed which actor will portray which character.
