The Sandman gets a bonus episode after the season two finale

Surprise! The Sandman season two won't end at the eleven announced episodes, but will get an extra standalone bonus episode. The second season of the hit Netflix fantasy series The Sandman has been announced as the final season. The series, based on the iconic DC comics by Neil Gaiman, will return in two parts and conclude with a special bonus episode. It will be released after the previously set episodes of Volume 1 (episodes 1-6) on Thursday, July 3 and Volume 2 (episodes 7-11) on Thursday, July 24.

Season two will continue the events of season one, exploring new storylines from various comics in The Sandman series. Episode 11 will mark the official end of Dream’s story, while the additional twelfth episode will focus on his sister Death, likely as a tribute to the comic of the same name Death: The High Cost of Living.

Like the first season, this bonus episode will be released separately from the main storyline. While there is no official confirmation of a spin-off, fans are speculating about a possible sequel centered around the character of Death.
