The Summer I Turned Pretty ends with its third season

Prime Video has confirmed that the upcoming third season of the YA series The Summer I Turned Pretty will be its last. The news of the series' cancellation comes as no surprise. The Summer I Turned Pretty is based on Jenny Han's bestselling trilogy, with each season based on one of the novels: The Summer I Turned Pretty (2009), It's Not Summer Without You (2010), and We'll Always Have Summer (2011).

The Summer I Turned Pretty is a drama series about a love triangle between a girl, Belly (Tung), and two brothers, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), the ever-changing relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It’s a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer.

The series has been a huge hit for Prime Video. The first season debuted in summer 2022 and became the #1 show on the platform in its first weekend. Season two debuted in summer 2023, doubling the first season’s viewership within three days of launch.
