The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox Teaser Stars Grace Van Patten

The first teaser has dropped for The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, a new limited drama series from Hulu starring actress Grace Van Patten as Amanda Knox.The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox is based on the harrowing true story of Amanda Knox, a young Seattle woman convicted of murdering her British roommate Meredith Kercher while studying in Italy in 2007. Knox was eventually acquitted by the Italian Supreme Court in 2015 after a 16-year legal battle. The series follows her personal and emotional journey to prove her innocence and regain her freedom.

In addition to Van Patten, the cast includes Sharon Horgan, John Hoogenakker, Francesco Acquaroli, Giuseppe De Domenico and Roberta Mattei. Together, they bring different perspectives to the complex and much-discussed story.

The series was developed by K.J. Steinberg, known for This Is Us, and is produced by 20th Television in collaboration with The Littlefield Company. Amanda Knox herself is involved in the production, together with Chris Robinson through their company Knox Robinson Productions. The direction is in the hands of Michael Uppendahl, who also serves as an executive producer.

The first two episodes of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox will premiere on Wednesday, August 20 on Hulu, with a new episode being released every Wednesday after that. Watch the teaser below.
