Don't mess with Carol! AMC has released a sneak peek for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol.

In the clip, which was revealed during the premiere episode of Parish on AMC, Melissa McBride's Carol is determined to find answers about the whereabouts of her boyfriend Daryl (Norman Reedus) at all costs.

“Don’t move. Keep your guns down. Where is my friend?” Carol asks, armed with a crossbow.

According to the logline: The new season picks up where The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off, with both confronting old demons as Carol struggles to find her boyfriend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Burrow.

In addition to Reedus and McBride, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol stars Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi and Eriq Ebouaney.

The series is produced by showrunner David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Reedus, McBride, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Daniel Percival, Jason Richman and Steve Squillante.

I didn't expect to say this, but this was the worst spin off of TWD so far. And that says a lot because the spin off with Maggie and Negan was already very bad. Admittedly, I am absolutely not a fan of the French language and that certainly influences the grade I gave this spin off, but the way and why Daryl ended up in France shows that the writers have no creativity. I was also not a fan of Carrol in TWD and now she is coming back. There is also still no clarity as to why some "super" zombies behave differently. There were already a few in the TWD series. How did they get there? No, I most likely won't watch season 2.

Season 2 of The Walking Dead Daryl Dixon starts on September 29 on the American streaming platform AMC+. The series can be seen in the Netherlands on STAR Channel, but no date has yet been announced.
