Jimmi Simpson added to the cast of The Walking Dead: Dead City season three

Jimmi Simpson, known from Westworld and Emmy-nominated, is being added as a new regular cast member in season three of AMC's The Walking Dead: Dead City.The Walking Dead: Dead City follows Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in a post-apocalyptic Manhattan that has long been cut off from the mainland. In season two, the two faced off in an escalating power struggle for control of the city. In season three, their collaboration and survival seem to become even more complicated and dangerous.

Jimmi Simpson plays a character named Dillard, although further details about his role are being kept under wraps for now. Filming for the new season is currently taking place in Boston.

Simpson is keeping busy: he plays multiple versions of the brilliant neuroscientist Ryan Holder in Dark Matter (2024) (Apple TV+), voices the demon Abaddon in Haunted Hotel (Netflix), and impressed with his roles in Westworld (for which he received an Emmy nomination) and Black Mirror (BAFTA nomination). Additionally, he won an Independent Spirit Award in 2023 as part of the ensemble cast of Pachinko.
