The Witcher is an American fantasy series from Netflix. The first season, which was very well received, released on December 20, 2019.

The Witcher is a legendary story about fate and family. Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), a lonely monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often behave like corrupt animals. But when fate pushes him in the direction of a powerful sorceress and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate together through the increasing instability of the continent.

The second season of The Witcher is expected to release in 2021 and production has already begun. Henry Cavill (The Tudors) will be seen as Geralt or Rivia in the second season. Anya Chalotra (Sherwood) will also return as sorceress Yennefer, Freya Allan (The Third Day) as Ciri and Joey Batey (Knightfall) as Jaskier.
