The Flash (2014) and Jane the Virgin get full season order

The CW has ordered full seasons for both ‘The Flash (2014)’ and ‘Jane the Virgin’. That means that ‘The Flash (2014)’ will have 23 episodes and ‘Jane the Virgin’ will get 22 episodes. At the moment, ‘The Flash (2014)’ is the best-rated series at The CW and ‘Jane the Virgin’s second episode did even better than the premiere.

"We have had a fantastic start to our season this year, with ‘The Flash (2014)’ launching as our most-watched series premiere ever, and ‘Jane the Virgin’ recognized as the best new show this season by critics across the country," said The CW president Mark Pedowitz. "Over the past three seasons, we have made it our mission to grow and to broaden out our audience, and to keep raising the bar with the quality and impact of our new shows, and ‘The Flash (2014)’ and ‘Jane the Virgin’ have both exceeded our expectations on all counts. I'm thrilled to announce full season orders for both of these terrific new series."

The Flash (2014)’ had 6.1 million viewers on premiere night, that’s even higher than the debut of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ in 2009. ‘Jane the Virgin’ had 1.63 million viewers and that is the highest ratings ever on a Monday night in almost two years for The CW. The CW hopes to have a third successful series when the Rob Thomas' series ‘iZombie’ will debut mid-season.

What do you think of ‘The Flash (2014)’ and ‘Jane the Virgin’; do you think they deserve a full season?
