The Leftovers

I advise you not to watch the first few minutes of episode 5. At least it made me a bit nauseous.. For the rest I don't think it's a disappointing series. I can understand that people don't like this, but I don't have that at all. Series is, in my eyes, more and more interesting.

Nor is the entire intent of the series to solve the mystery surrounding "The Departures". They also know nothing about it, as they even indicated in the 1st or 2nd episode. They have no scientific explanation for it. The series also revolves around those who are "left behind." The premise is therefore as follows: "It centers not on the people who were taken, but on the ones left behind." The "The Guilty Remnant" is a community that thinks God has decided all this. They also see themselves as the "Living Memories of God's mighty power." They believe that the rest of the people, the 98%, have been rejected by God because they don't believe enough. By behaving in this way they want to show God that they too believe. In this way they want to demonstrate to God that they are ready to be taken away, just like the previous 2% of the world's population.
