Alloy Entertainment's Lying Game, a story about identical twins who switch lives, was one of two series awaiting word on its future at ABC Family. A decision on fellow bubble series Bunheads has yet to be made.
After two seasons of lies, betrayal and twin shenanigans, The Lying Game has been cancelled. The teen drama will not return for a third season. Series lead Alexandra Chando has confirmed that the mystery-filled ABC Family drama will in fact not be returning, via a message on Instagram :
Chando’s announcement comes in the wake of much speculation that Lying Game’s modestly rated run had ended, especially as the freshman series The Fosters keeps hitting new highs in the Nielsens.
Charisma Carpenter - who plays Rebecca Sewell on the show - previously told Digital Spy that the cast wanted "at least... one more season, so we could wrap up our storylines". But there won't be.
