FX has finally made it official, after many rumors, 'The Strain' will get a second season. The horror series of Guillermo del Toro and Carlton Cuse will have thirteen episodes next year.
'The Strain' tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) who is the chef at the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. And he has to deal with an outbreak of a virus that looks like vampirism.
'The Strain' premiered this year on July 13th and has an average of 2.33 million viewers after six episodes. The series finale will air on October 12th. It is expected that the second season will premiere next summer.
