The final episode of the tenth season was actually supposed to have been released already, but due to the coronavirus, the production on The Walking Dead was halted. It has just been revealed that the final episode of the tenth season will be released on the 4th of October. Next to that, some extended footage of the final episode was also released.

Usually, at this time of the year, the next season of The Walking Dead is announced to begin next October. This hasn't been the case this year. It doesn't mean that there's not going to be any Walking Dead for a while. Showrunner Angela Kang (Terriers) announced that the tenth season will receive another six episodes next year.
