Last month, several photos for the upcoming season of the horror anthology series were released.
Season two consists of eight episodes and stars Deborah Ayorinde, Pam Grier, Luke James, Joshua J. Williams, Jeremy Bobb, Wayne Knight, Carlito Olivero, Charles Brice and Iman Shumpert. Set in 1991, the story follows a detective investigating a murder case.
Prime Video revealed more about the series in the press release below:
"Prime Video today released the official trailer for series creator Little Marvin's horror anthology series Them: The Scare. This eight-episode second installment airs Thursday, April 25, 2024 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. All Episodes will be available after release.
Them is again set in Los Angeles. The first part, subtitled Covenant, was set in Compton around 1952, but the time frame moves to 1991. The story revolves around LAPD Homicide Detective Dawn Reeve, who is assigned a new case: the gruesome murder of a foster mother who even has shaken the most hardened detectives. During a tumultuous time in Los Angeles, with the city on the brink of chaos, Dawn is determined to stop the killer. But as she draws closer to the truth, something ominous and evil takes hold of her and her family...
The cast of the series includes Deborah Ayorinde as Detective Dawn Reeve, Pam Grier as Athena, Grammy-nominated musician and actor Luke James as Edmund Gaines. The cast is completed by Joshua J. Williams, Jeremy Bobb, Wayne Knight, Carlito Olivero, Charles Brice and Iman Shumpert.
Them: The Scare is a co-production of Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Series creator Little Marvin serves as showrunner and executive producer along with Miri Yoon and Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment and Steve Prinz.”
