Thirtysomething is an American drama series from the ABC channel. The series premiered in 1987 and ended in 1991.
ABC has announced that it has ordered a pilot for a follow-up series, called Thirtysomething (else). Almost 30 years after we saw the Steadman and Weston families, this new series would focus on the adult offspring of the thirtysomething characters.
Ken Olin, Mel Harris, Timothy Busfield and Patty Wettig from the original series have signed to return. The creators of the original series, Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick, also took part in creating this sequel. Thirtysomething, a family drama, was shown for four seasons and had a total of 85 episodes at ABC.
