Apple TV+ releases trailer for Taika Waititi's Time Bandits

An eleven-year-old history buff named Kevin finds a time lock in his wardrobe in Time Bandits, the first-ever television adaptation of Apple's cult classic of the same name. Led by Lisa Kudrow, the band of outlaws embark on epic adventures as evil forces threaten their conquests and life as they know it. As the group travels through time and space, the gang encounters fascinating worlds from the distant past as they search for treasure, relying on Kevin to shed light on each situation.



The 'Time Bandits' witness the creation of Stonehenge, see the Trojan Horse in action, escape dinosaurs in prehistoric times, wreak havoc in the Middle Ages, experience the Ice Age, ancient civilizations and the Harlem Renaissance, and much more along the way .

Created by Jemaine Clement, Iain Morris and Taika Waititi, Time Bandits will premiere worldwide with the first two episodes on Wednesday, July 24, followed by two new episodes every Wednesday through August 21.

The series also stars Kal-El Tuck, Tadhg Murphy, Roger Jean Nsengiyumva, Rune Temte, Charlyne Yi, Rachel House, Kiera Thompson, James Dryden, Felicity Ward, Francesca Mills and Imaan Hadchiti.

Time Bandits also features special guest appearances from Waititi and Clement.

Time Bandits consists of ten episodes and is produced by Paramount Television Studios, Anonymous Content's AC Studios and MRC.

Clement, Morris and Waititi will produce, write and direct select episodes, with Clement and Morris serving as co-showrunners. Garrett Basch and Tim Coddington also produce along with Jane Stanton, who executive produces for Handmade Films.
