If you are more of a fan of the classic Lara Croft from the adventurous Tomb Raider PlayStation games and the films with Angelina Jolie, then this series will disappoint you... and that is because this is a sequel to the game 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider' and not to the classic Lara Croft games.
For me, this series is disappointing.

Where the classic Tomb Raider was about the legacy of her father and his death, this series does not talk about it. It is specifically about the death of her "2nd father" Conrad Roth and her "relationship" with his daughter Camilla Roth and her other friends. The other friends are actually just annoying and have no added value. Where a Jonah only agrees to everything Lara does, you have a very annoying Zip who, of course very exaggerated, is gay and talks to her feelings. It is also heavily implied that Lara will have a lesbian relationship with Camilla Roth.

This Lara Croft is tomboyish, very emotional and just not nice.
The classic Lara Croft is self-reliant, smart, but above all more cool-headed. She has no one to worry about and that worked very well. The classic Lara likes to go on adventures and fights animals, mythical creatures and occasionally people, but then with weapons instead of her fists.

But well, the classic Lara Croft is again in the eyes of these writers a character who does not work in this time because of her sexual attraction because that would be "not real". And that also reflects in the scores that the viewers give to this series (Rotten Tomatoes: 33%, IMDb: 5.3)

Thanks for the warning. Another character that has been professionally killed because it has to "meet modern standards". Hopefully they will realize that this doesn't work and that they should come up with new characters themselves.
"Rewoke" old and beloved characters is not something that is appreciated. See also that Velma series. That is also such a trainwreck...
