Netflix releases trailer for final season of Top Boy (2019)

Top Boy (2019) will return soon for its final season. Netflix has released a trailer for the latest episodes of the British crime drama. Starring Ashley Walters (Bulletproof), Kane Robinson, Barry Keoghan (Chernobyl), Brian Gleeson (Bad Sisters), Simbi Ajikawo (The Power), Jasmine Jobson (Noughts and Crosses), Saffron Hocking (Riches) and Araloyin Oshunremi (Heartstopper) in the Netflix series follows two drug dealers (Walters and Robinson) and other black youths involved in drug trafficking and gangs in London.



The series Top Boy (2019) debuted in the United Kingdom in 2011 and ran for two seasons, with a total of eight episodes. A third season was proposed, but the series was eventually canceled by Channel 4.

Netflix revived the series in 2019 with members of the original cast and crew returning. The story follows some of the same characters and picks up six years after the original. A fourth season of Top Boy will be released in 2022 and the fifth and final season of the series (the third of Netflix) will be released on Thursday, September 7.

The third and fourth seasons were presented by Netflix as a Netflix Original. The first two seasons of the crime drama were also added to Netflix under the title Top Boy: Summerhouse.
