Colin Farrell confirms role in True Detective

Just before the start of filming the second season of ‘True Detective’, Colin Farrell has confirmed that he will play one of the leading roles in ‘True Detective’. Farrell had to negotiate long and hard to get to star in the second season of ‘True Detective’ which is set in California. Farrell will play the part of Ray Velcoro. Velcoro is a man who has been damaged by years of trauma in his personal and business life, according to the Sunday World.

Colin Farrell: "I'm going to play in the second season. I'm so excited. I know it will take around four or five months to film (season two) eight episodes, near LA. That's great. It means that I can stay home and see the children during filming."

The negotiations with any other lead actors are still ongoing. Although there are rumours that Vince Vaughn is negotiating to play the role of Frank Semyon. Semyon is a former criminal/businessman who gets in trouble because of scheming. It is said that Rachel McAdams and Elisabeth Moss are competing for the same role of a no-nonsense, heavy-drinking California sheriff. According to rumours, Taylor Kitsch is going for the role of one of the leading detectives.

Do you think Colin Farrell is a good choice and are you looking forward to the second season?
