AMC has ordered a second season of the Revolutionary War drama 'Turn'. The series recently finished its inaugural year with an average of two million viewers. It wasn't a break-out hit, but it was enough for a renewal.
'Turn', an adaptation of 'Washington Spies' by Alexander Rose, sees farmer's son Abe Woodhull (Jamie Bell, 'Filth') in British occupied Long Island, create a resistance group with his friends. As he aids the forces of George Washington, he navigates the waters of early espionage.
In an effort to lure in new viewers, AMC reruns the first season of 'Turn' this summer. Netflix already acquired the show for a premiere in 2015. Season two will debut in the spring of that year.
